Chef Davit McDaniel, General Manager/Executive Chef
Chef McDaniel has over 30 years as an executive chef with such notable venues as the Corpus Christi Yacht Club and Katz 21. He honed his skills as a chef at the American Culinary Institute and served his country as a U.S. Army Airborne Ranger during combat in Iraq and Afghanistan. Chef McDaniel’s commitment to you is to serve only the freshest, local fare with exceptional service.

Chef Johnny
Chef Johnny’s mission is to create the most mouth-watering entrées available in Corpus Christi. From pecan-crusted redfish to Angus Beef tenderloin, an expertly prepared lunch or dinner awaits you. He obtained his training at the Texas Institute of Culinary Arts and has served thousands of guests while a chef at The Corpus Christi Yacht Club before joining Ara’s team.

Chef Linda – Pastry Chef
Chef Linda creates incredible, show-stopping desserts and is famous for her gluten-free doughnuts that are packed with so much flavor, you wouldn"t know they were gluten-free! She was born and raised in California and attended Platt College in Oklahoma, where she graduated with honors. She excelled as a Pastry Chef, serving thousands her sought after, delicious pastries for the Oklahoma Dodgers.

Chris Breunig – Marketing & Public Relations
Chris assists in booking private events for our clients and helps Chef McDaniel create a truly unforgettable experience in our Banquet Room or Board Room. From small groups of 12 to larger parties of 125, Chris can provide you with gorgeous décor, DJ/music services and photography for your wedding or social event. He attended Guildford College in North Carolina, with a degree in Marketing. Chris is also a professional DJ, having performed in Las Vegas and at many local clubs and restaurants for two decades.

Valerie Riley, Office Administrator
If it needs doing, Valerie does it. Valerie keeps the business side of Ara’s Seafood & Steak’s operations humming along. She assists Chef McDaniel with the day to day business tasks needed to manage a large restaurant and banquet facility. She graduated at the top of her class in the Welding field and is on the Dean’s list while pursuing her college degree. Valerie has several years’ experience as an office manager in the welding, construction and restaurant industries.
